Silencing the Echo Chamber by Bob Veres
Inside Information, March 2009

Synopsis

"Wow! That's really good! In fact, it might be It, the Holy Grail thing that I've been
looking around for ever since, oh, at least the Schwab Conference last September when a thousand
advisors cancelled their registrations and plane tickets because they didn't have It to offer
their clients.... The It presentation came from Bob Curtis, who runs PIEtech, the creator
of the MoneyGuidePro planning software."

Still the One by Joel Bruckenstein
Financial Advisor Magazine, September 2008

Synopsis

"When you review as many products as I do, it takes something special for you to generate a lot enthusiasm,
but when I first set my eyes on MoneyGuidePro from PIE Technologies, Inc. in 2001, I knew that I had
encountered an undiscovered gem. . . . The folks at MoneyGuidePro are just as innovative today as they
were then . . . [MoneyGuidePro G2] may be the best and most innovative new financial planning application
to hit the market since the original version of MGP was released seven years ago.
Over the last ten years, there have been only a couple of really significant events shaping the financial
planning software sector. The first was the introduction of NaviPlan to the U.S. market by EISI. The second
was the initial release of MoneyGuidePro. In my opinion, the release of MGP:G2 is the third.
It is likely that the introduction of MGP:G2 will have repercussions in areas that extend far beyond
current and prospective MGP clients. Because of its automation capabilities, its new approach to framing
goals and its ease of use, MGP:G2 will empower advisors to serve a wider range of clients, and do so at a
lower cost. I feel certain that all existing MGP users will love MGP:G2, and I suspect that it will win over
many users of competing programs as well."

The Reflecting Pool by Andy Gluck
Financial Advisor Magazine, September 2008

Synopsis

"When the history of financial planning is recorded many years from now, Bob Curtis' [MGP CEO] latest contribution should be noted.
Curtis has come up with a way to reflect a person's feelings about the most critical decisions on which a financial plan rests. He
has invented a more humane way of planning, a plan that reflects subtle preferences.
PIE Technologies, Inc. has released a new version of MoneyGuidePro that is once again different from other financial planning
applications. Curtis has redefined his ideas about planning and softened the effect hard numbers can have on a financial plan. In a
masterful display of the power of cybernetics, the new version of MoneyGuidePro makes computers automatically calculate tradeoffs
between one financial goal and another. He's made financial planning understand human nature.
Creating plans that better reflect our [human] sentiment is probably the most important new development in the evolution of the
financial planning process since Monte Carlo was first used in the mid-1990's to illustrate the risks involved in planning. It
reflects the complexity involved in making long-term financial decisions, but makes planning easier. It uses calculations to
reflect the trade-offs in planning decisions and the imprecise nature of people. It's a step forward not just for MoneyGuidePro,
but for the entire profession."
